Hunter Douglas has designed three different styles of roman shades, the Vignette, the Solera, and the Design Studio Roman Shades.

The Vignette Modern Roman Shades

The Vignette roman shades are a more modern take on traditional roman shades. They provide a clean, crisp look to your home or office. These shades remain consistent when raised or lowered to keep a sharp, full or flat-fold appearance.  Not to mention, their lack of exposed rear cords makes them look even sharper and much safer for children and pets. These shades are available in a variety of fabrics and colors, so they can be customized to match any room. Whether you prefer a sheer, light filtering fabric or room-darkening fabric, Hunter Douglas offers many options for each.

To give yourself more options for your home when it comes to light and privacy, you can choose the Vignette Duolite. The Duolite combines sheer and room-darkening fabrics on the same roller to allow you to achieve the exact level of light and privacy you are looking for in your home. The single roller that you will see with these shades is unique to roman shades and allows for significantly less mounting depth than your typical dual roller system. Duolite shades are available only in six-inch flat folds with the Rolling Style and PowerView motorization systems, which gives you control over your shades at the tips of your fingers. The Original Vignette shades, however, come in two different styles, the rolling style and the stacking style. The Rolling Style is available in a four-inch full fold or six-inch flat fold. These shades roll up into the headrail. The Stacking Style is available in a four-inch full fold and stacks nicely just below the headrail.

Solera Soft Shades

For a more energy-efficient style, Solera Shades may be more fitting for you. They combine the folding effect of classic roman shades with the cellular construction of cellular shades. Because of their design, shades with cellular construction have the ability to lower your home’s energy consumption and energy bill by trapping warm or cold air within the cell pockets and insulating your home. The cellular design also improves the acoustics in your space and reduces outside noise.  The combination of these two styles gives you a very sharp, clean look, all while saving you money. Like the Vignette shades, these are available in a wide variety of durable, woven or non-woven fabrics and colors. You can browse those colors here. From neutral, light-filtering fabrics to bolder, room-darkening fabrics, we are sure you can find something to fit your needs.

Design Studio

If you aren’t sure that either the Solera or Vignette roman shades are right for you, we offer our Design Studio shades, which are completely customizable to fit exactly what you need. These traditional shades come in over 250 different fabrics, four different styles, and can be finished off with decorative tapes, trims, and valances. The possibilities are endless with these shades.
